Aarohan
Enthuzia is the annual socio-cultural fest conducted by the Indian
Institute of Science, Education & Research, Bhopal. It is the most
prominent fest organised in Central India. The prime focus of the
fest is to guarantee enjoyment & learning opportunities through fun,
exciting activities. The fest is a 3-day celebration of arts,
culture & coming together of diverse communities.
MUN
Model United Nations is an authentic simulation of the UN General
Assembly, UN Security Council, or other multilateral bodies, which
catapults participants into the world of diplomacy and negotiation.
In Model UN, participants step into the shoes of ambassadors of UN
member states, from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe to debate current issues
on the Organisation's vast agenda.
IISM
The Inter IISER Sports Meet (abbreviated and better known as IISM)
is the premier multi-sport event of the national institutes
dedicated to basic sciences and research. Held annually in the month
of December An event of its stature must represent the diverse
sporting talent among its thousand odd participants. Accordingly,
the tournament usually spans twelve broad sporting categories
(Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Chess, Cricket, Football,
Kabaddi, Kho Kho, Lawn Tennis, Table Tennis, Carrom and Volleyball)
with carrom being the latest addition.
IICM
IICM is the annual cultural festival and competition across the
IISERs and other research institutions ( NISER, CEBS & IISc)
conducted by CULTURAL COUNCIL.Several competitions of art, music,
dance, theatre, filmmaking, literature, and photography take place
spread over a span of three days.
A&L
Arts and Letters is the major fest conducted by the Fine Arts and
Literary Council.
Luminaire
Luminaire, the film festival of IISER Bhopal, illuminates the campus with a cinematic celebration, showcasing a diverse range of creative storytelling. As a platform for aspiring filmmakers, Luminare provides a stage to share narratives that captivate and inspire. The festival not only fosters a love for filmmaking within the IISER community but also encourages exploration of the visual arts. With screenings, discussions, and awards, Luminare stands as a testament to the vibrant intersection of academia and cinematic expression at IISER Bhopal.
Sangharsh
Sangharsh is the Intra IISERB Sports Tournament, held annually in
the even semesters. It features most events spanning sports
organised in the Inter IISER Sports Meets, apart from a few more.
Most events are organised in batchwise teams. The tournament
provides community members a chance to prove their prowess and have
recreational fun, hence attracting large participation. It is also
aimed at building the spirits of teamwork and sportsmanship, and
promoting leadership qualities. Outstanding student performers and
hidden talents are identified too here, and may get a chance to
represent the institute in the IISM.
